Lauren holds a BCom (Law) degree from the University of the Free State, has obtained a Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF Level 5) from Milpark Business School.

Whilst completing her degree in Bloemfontein, Lauren was appointed as a volunteer Incident Officer for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was responsible for Stadium Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety and all insurance claims, across all lines of business, for the Free State Stadium.

After completing her degree, Lauren commenced her career as a Claims Executive at a Specialist Liability Brokerage in Johannesburg, before being appointed as the Claims Manager at Arch Underwriting Managers at Lloyds (South Africa) (Pty Ltd). She oversaw all large and complex property claims and managing all specialty lines claims for the organisation. She joined Lloyd Warwick in 2018.

Although based in Johannesburg, Lauren has extensive experience in handling large and complex losses throughout Africa, the Indian Ocean Islands and the Middle East.
