Albert holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wits Business School. His career as a chemical engineer was characterised by design and commissioning experience in complex heat and mass transfer processes in the mining, processing, chemical and petrochemical industries. Albert’s extensive experience on site in the roles of commissioning engineer and manager affords him cross-discipline knowledge in related engineering aspects such as electrical, mechanical, piping, instrumentation and control system. He specialised in process safety and risk analysis, as well as process control optimisation.

Albert has refined his cross-disciplinary technical and financial knowledge and experience to add value to large and complex losses. Some of the losses he has handled are as follows:
