William brings specialist engineering knowledge to the Lloyd Warwick International team having spent six years working offshore in the Oil and Gas Industry. He joined in January 2016 as an Adjuster, specialising in both onshore and offshore energy claims.

William graduated from Imperial College London with an MENG Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering. He joined Schlumberger, the largest oilfield services provider, and spent three years based in Aberdeen working on a number of oil rigs for several clients including Shell, CNR, Apache, RWE, TAQA, Enquest and Hess, in the North Sea. His area of specialisation was in well interventions as a Field Engineer in wireline and has detailed experience of Well integrity, Control of Well (BOPs), Production Logging, Workovers and Well Testing.
William then moved to Stavanger, Norway and worked for three years at a start-up well intervention company called Ziebel that specialised in Fibre-Optic monitoring in oil wells for BP Norway, Maersk, Conoco Phillips and Statoil as a Field Engineer then as a Project Engineer managing intervention campaigns in the North Sea.
William brings six years of operational Engineering experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry into the insurance business and has since been involved in energy insurance claims in both upstream and downstream including physical damage (PD) and business interruption (BI)  including;

  • FPSO riser failure (PD) – Offshore Ivory Coast
  • Gas pipeline leaking valve (PD / BI) – North Sea
  • Fire in an ammonia refinery (PD) – Kuwait
  • Subsea BOP damage (PD) – Offshore Norway
  • Drillship marine riser equipment loss (PD / BI) – Nova Scotia
  • FPSO turret loss (BI) – Ghana
