From 2008 to 2020, Nathan worked for EDF Energy at Dungeness B nuclear power station. Having completed their 4-year engineering apprenticeship he started his career as a control and instrumentation technician and subsequently held roles as a team leader and finally a systems engineer. During his time with EDF he worked on multiple complex projects, travelled to a number of EDF’s other nuclear sites in the UK to support with strategic outage work and carried out incident investigations utilising Root Cause Analysis, behavioural/training analysis and several other skills/tools.
In 2019, Nathan attained a distance-learning Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Materials and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
In 2020, Nathan transitioned into Loss Adjusting, joining a firm specialising in renewable energy where he was involved with and led investigations for solar and wind losses across the UK, Europe, South America and Australia.
