Allison graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Whilst obtaining her degree Allison took the opportunity to perform over a year of work placements including a lengthy assignment in systems engineering at a nuclear power plant and in mechanical systems design for a mining engineering firm. Following completion of her degree Allison worked for an offshore drilling contractor in Copenhagen on newbuild jack-up rigs and rig upgrade projects, with a posting to a steelyard in Shanghai, and then worked as a subsea engineer for an oil and gas operator in Aberdeen before moving to loss adjusting.

Allison has worked on a large number of energy claims throughout the world on behalf of captive insurers, commercial market reinsurers, OIL, OCIL and the Nordic Plan on claims including:

  • Platform explosion – W Africa
  • Subsea infrastructure – worldwide
  • Semi-submersible drill package damage – N Sea
  • SPM mooring system damage – India
  • Semi-submersible CAR claims – worldwide
  • Subsea wellhead PD – India
  • Onshore pipeline damage – Europe
