Michael graduated from Texas A&M University in 1983 with a degree is Petroleum Engineering. Following a degree in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M, Michael worked for a small independent oil and gas company drilling and producing wells as well as managing/selling prospects and direct well consultation—then forming his own company. Michael began his loss adjusting career in 1989 with an international energy adjusting company and quickly became involved in major losses worldwide. Handling of various types of major claims continued and subsequently, he joined Lloyd Warwick International in July 2013. Industry experience combined with 24 years of adjusting experience has enabled Michael to manage and direct claims involving:
- Underground and surface blowouts—including deepwater and ultradeep wells in the United States, Mexico, South America, Canada, and Southeast Asia—OEE, EED, PD and LOPI
- Rig physical damage claims – fire, flooding, blowouts in all parts of the world
- Offshore platform physical damage – fire, explosions, hurricane, allisions
- Pipeline – explosion, parting, onshore/offshore, United States, Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, South America
- Petrochemical/chemical plants losses—PD, BI, extra expense, liability – United States, Mexico, Latin America, South America
- Power Generation Claims—turbine failures, generators, hydro-electric, transmission equipment
- Builders Risk Claims involving Platforms, refineries, power plants and pipelines
- Gas compressor Stations/Gas Plants—PD, BI, and LOPI related claims
- Storage Cavern Losses—Cavern/well failures, mysterious disappearance, contamination
